• Q How old do I have to be to rent a vehicle?

  A You must be at least 23 years of age.

• Q What documents will I need to rent a vehicle?

  A You should possess a valid drivers license from your home country and a valid credit card.

• Q If I rent a vehicle in my name, can someone else drive it?

  A Yes, you must first let us know and the person must have their driver's license authenticated and added to the rental agreement by us. The additional driver also needs to sign the rental agreement at no extra cost.

• Q Why is there a drop off charge for one way rentals?

  A Each rental station possess their own vehicles and so a minimal charge is made to return the car to its original location. However, if you're renting the vehicle for more than 7 days, this charge is waived.

• Q What do I do if something goes wrong with the vehicle?

  A During normal working hours call any AVIS office (you'll find the number on your key ring or your rental agreement) or dial 1-888-888-AVIS from 8am to 5pm and the evening from 5pm to 8pm you may call (876-889-0945) and we will address the problem.

• Q How do I arrange to extend my rental?

  A Please call the rental location directly and they will be happy to help you.

• Q Can I pay by cash?

  A Yes, if you have made prior arrangements to do so. However in order to guarantee the rental, you must use a valid credit card.

• Q Can I reserve a particular vehicle?

  A Each car group consist of various models, however, Avis is unable to guarantee a specific make/model.

• Q Are there any other charges when renting a vehicle?

  A Yes, local tax (G.C.T) of 15%, which is chargable on the rental.

• Q What is Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and how much does LDW cost?

  A The renter is responsible for the full value of the rented vehicle in the event of any loss or damage to the vehicle. For a charge of US$10 per day for cars or US$15 per day for a bus and luxury cars, the renter's liability is reduced to a maximum of US$900 or US$1500, respectively. If the vehicle is operated in breach of any of the conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement, the LDW becomes null and void.

• Q What time do I have to return my vehicle?

  A At exactly the same time you hired it the previous day, so if you rented it at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, it should be returned at 3:00 p.m. Thursday.

• Q Do I have to refuel the vehicle before I return it?

  A The same quantity of fuel that was in the vehicle at the time of rental should be in it when returned.
